The Gallia County Extension Agriculture and Natural Resources educator worked with the Gallia County Commissioners and the Gallia County Economic Development Office to support the Gallia County Farmer’s Market, which provides fresh produce to residents of Gallia County. In addition to making a marketing opportunity for produce, meat and egg producers in the area, the market received a $3,516 grant from the Central Appalachian Network to help promote the market and offer educational workshops for the vendors.

Gallia County ANR Educator worked with the Gallia County Commissioners and the Gallia County Economic Development Office to support the Gallia County Farmer’s Market which provides fresh produce to the residents of Gallia County in addition to making a marketing opportunity for produce, meat, and egg producers in the area. 

Thirty-Two Produce Producers attended good agricultural practices training, ensuring their practices would provide consumsers a safe, wholesome product. As a result, growers are using the training to reach out ot buyers who require that they are trained and follow the good agricultural practices program.
