Qualifications:

College student with an interest in working with people preferred; Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills and teaching skills highly required/highly desired.  Preference will be given to individuals majoring in an agriculture-related field, communications, or education and to individuals with 4-H and/or FFA experience.

 Candidate will need to successfully complete a BCI webcheck fingerprint background check prior to employment with OSU Extension Gallia County.

 Job Responsibilities:

Individual will have diverse responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

·         Assisting with the coordination of pre-fair 4-H project judging. (35%)

·         Assisting with planning and preparation for one or more 4-H camps; attending camp for one or more days and/or nights as a staff member and/or session instructor.(10%)

·         Assisting in all aspects of Junior Fair planning, execution, and clean up, including data entry, show preparation, and participation in Junior Fair workdays prior to Fair. (30%)

·         Assisting with office support as needed (phones, mailings, customer service). (10%)

·         Assistance as needed with 4-H CARTEENS program (5%)

·         Assistance with 4-H/ANR Youth Development groups (5%)
